Spacious, clean & warm apartment in the centre of town. All kitchen utensils & cleaning products supplied. Secure guest parking an absolute bonus in Oban, where pay & display on street parking is the norm & space is at a premium. Minutes walk from all shops, bars & restaurants, and all on the flat. Have been coming to these apartments for a few years, and always receive a friendly welcome. We wouldn't stay anywhere else - highly recommend.

Decided to come and celebrate Hogmany in Oban for a change. Received a very warm welcome from Ian and the apartment was spotless. Everything we needed was there and the view to the Harbour and beyond spectacular. Parking free and two minutes walk from the main shopping area. Will definitely return again.

Great location, close to all amenities and to the harbour for ferries to the isles.We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on 3rd floor of the newest building.The apartment was warm,cozy in the cold evenings, lots of space and all the utensils you need to cook a full meal. Microwave was great, dishwasher a boon.comfy bed. New shower room with a spacious shower.Iain and Mora our hosts were informative and friendly offering advice on Oban and a bit of history

What a relaxing and enjoyable week spent in the Kerrera apartment.We have visited the apartments several times over the years and always enjoyed using them as a base for exploring Oban and the surrounding area.Ian and Mora made our stay one of the best ever and were so welcoming.Looking forward to returning next year!

Just back from a week's stay .The appartment was spotlesswith an amazingsea view .Nothing was too much trouble for Ian who always makes us welcome .We find the appartments handy due to being so close to the town and train station .The prices are excellent for a two bedroom appartment and the lift makes it perfect if you have poor mobility .we will return again next season and recommend to others .Thanks for another great holiday

As usual we had a lovely three days in Oban, I brought my sister and cousin who were there for the first time and were very impressed with the apartment. They loved the area and can't wait to come again.

We stay here regularly and once again it didnt dissapoint. flat was spotless as usual . View on fourth floor is astounding. Weather wasnt to bad either dry most of the time and sunny for 3 days. Best ever self catering apartments we have ever stayed in. Excellent

We first stayed in the Esplanade Court Apartments 40 years ago. Over the years we have returned with our children and our parents.Now, when we stay, our grandchildren spend a few days with us. The apartments are ideally situated looking out over Oban Bay. They are always clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The hosts Ian & Maura do a fantastic job, always cheery and helpful. Great thanks and best wishes to them.

We have visited a number of times and, as usual, the apartment was clean, tidy and ready for use. Our hosts, Ian and Mora, were very welcoming and on hand when necessary.

The apartments were on the beautiful Corran Esplanade therefore views from rooms stunning!They were spotless and very comfortable. Mora went above and beyond to help us celebrate a big birthday by putting balloons/banners around the apartment. We can’t thank you enough!!Fabulous apartments and expertly run by Mora and her husband. We would happily return .

Received a warm welcome from Ian on arrival and he showed us to our apartment. It was not only beautifully decorated and furnished, but also had an amazing view over the bay. An excellent base for our stay. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable too. We had a marvellous time exploring Oban and some of the islands. Will definitely be back. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay… and for arranging the weather too😊👍

We were a group of 5 adults staying for a week in September. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The view over the bay is fantastic. Being in the centre of Oban and having its own parking means you can leave the car and walk to most places. I would recommend the Esplanade court to anyone we all loved our stay and will return again.

The Esplanade Court Apartments are located only a short stroll from central Oban. The apartments are managed byIan and his lovely wife, who give outstanding service. The apartments have everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay in Oban, including free off street parking.

Absolutely love staying at Esplanade Court. The view from the apartment is stunning. We have been holidaying at Esplanade Court for over 50 years and our son and daughter and their families now visit as well. A bonus is having car parking as well. We would also like to mention how friendly and helpful Ian and Mora are at reception.

The apartments are well located with amazing views. They are well equipped and the beds very comfortable. All very clean. The only downside was the old uncomfortable sofas in the lounge. Lifts worked well and wifi was good. The housekeeping couple, Ian and Mora were excellent and very helpful. Car parking was excellent. Will hopefully return soon.

It rained but that didn’t stop our enjoyment of Oban.The apartment more than makes up for bad weather.We have stayed here many times over the years and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.It is comfortable with everything you need and the view of the waterand all the activity is something else.Our apartment had an upgrade since our last stay and the improvements, which included a new shower, made it even better.To top it all, Ian and Moira are excellent hosts friendly, helpful and very welcoming.Nothing is too much trouble.

Just home from another wonderful week at Esplanade Court. We have stayed there many times over the last thirty or more years. The welcome from Ian and his wife make it feel like coming home. The apartments are spotless and are equipped with everything you need. It was a first visit for my brother and his wife and I’m sure it won’t be their last. I will miss that view so much when I have breakfast tomorrow morning. We’ll be back - soon I hope.

We appreciated the communication with Ian and Moira and the location of the Esplanade. Our suite overlooked the water which was lovely and had what you'd want in a self-catering apartment. We were grateful for the two bedrooms and two bathrooms for our family during our four night stay. Apartment was clean and tidy and a welcome relief after long days of touring the area. One suggestion would be a chair or two in the living area for additional seating. Appreciated access to laundry.

Had a really lovely stay in the Lismore apartment. Great meet and greet, and a very clean, tidy, comfortable apartment with everything you need for a great stay. The photos do not do the view justice, I looked more at the view than anything else.I will be back ASAP.

Living in Scotland and as regular visitors to these apartments we broughtour sister and brother in law from Sweden to stay for a week. The weather was great the town was very much admired and they felt very welcomed by the lovely people working in the shops and restaurants.But the best part of the holiday was the Esplanade Apartments,they were blown away with the position of the apartment and of course the view which was to die for ,everything was spotless and extreamly well maintained,and help was always on hand from Ian and Mona. They said their stay was perfect and understand why we have been regular visitors for over 20 years.

We enjoyed our stay during 24th- 31st Aug as we have done over many years.The new shower was appreciated. Even the dog was happy.

Usually I stay for longer but I couldn’t this time and it was cut even shorter because my car needed attention before I left home so I was very much later arriving than I anticipated. Mora kindly phoned when I was just short of Oban to check that I was ok as she knew was on my own and if my car was ok. A very thoughtful touch. Once I did arrive there was Mora waiting with my keys.Mora and Ian are brilliant hosts and the apartments are always clean and tidy and well maintained. It’s always lovely to be in Oban in such a good central location. I highly recommend 😊

What can we say Esplanade Court is our 2nd home and has been for probably 20 years or more.Lovely apartment, all you could need and always immaculate and don't even get usstarted on that view.Ian and Mora are the best nothing too much trouble, this not a threat but we will be back

Enjoyed our stay and were wonderfully welcomed by Ian and Mora, perfect hosts. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a self catering stay, including washing up liquid,tea towels and fluffy bath towels. Quality beds and Egyptian cotton bedding. Superb views over the harbour and instant heating if it turns chilly.Would recommend and will definitely be returning on our next trip.

Last minute booking proved to be a wee gem. Lovely apartment with a sea view. Near to the centre with parking. 4th floor so quiet at night but lift so easy access. We used it as a base to cycle and explore nearby island's. Close to the ferry terminal and there was safe dry storage for our bikes. Great places to eat and drink nearby. So glad it was available.

Another stay in these superb apartments with friendly hosts who extend a warm and genuine welcome, and go beyond the call of duty to help with any needs.We appreciate easy access to the ferries and other public transport for days out and for exploring the islands. There are a wide variety of restaurants and takeaways nearby if you do not wish to self-cater every night.

Myself and my daughter had a great time in Oban staying at esplanade apartments. The flats was excellent, comfortable and very clean with a stunning view of Oban bay. Ian (the manager) was great and always around. The lift was a great help with getting luggage to the upper floors. I will be returning next year. Many thanks to Ian and the staff who clean the apartments between visitors.

We arrived at Esplanade Court Holiday Apartments where we were met with a friendly, professional welcome by Ian and Mora. The apartments are located in a prime central location on the seafront at Oban. Ideally each apartment has an allocated carpark space. After receiving some brief information about the safety of the building and about the location in general we were shown to our apartment. We had requested (albeit not always doable) a high floor, so we were delighted to take the lift to room 503.Our room was so clean, so spacious, with all amenities we would need.We had the most spectacular views, an absolute delight.We will return for another holiday to Oban in the future and definitely stay at Esplanade Court Apartments.We can't thank Ian & Mora (affectionately known as Mo) enough.Thanks again

Nothing was too much troubleOur only slight gripe was that there was not a dishwasher or washing machine in the apartment although there ws communallaundry facilities.All in all a wonderful experience

The apartment was very comfortable and well-equipped, the views from the sitting room amazing. The wi-fi signal, however wasn't good enough. This needs improving.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Oban. The rooms were excellent with a wonderful view out over the bay to Kerrera (& sometimes Mull) and the location couldn't be bettered, in easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. The management were always onhand and ready to help at all times.Strongly recommended.

We’ve just had a lovely week staying here and exploring around the area,some of us climbed Ben Nevis 1.5hrs away. We used esplanade apartments as our base for the week and the port to get to the inner Hebrides.Ian & Mora were very welcoming on our arrival and helpful.We felt welcomed and Ian told us about the area and Mora explained the apartments.I would recommend it to my family and friends.I would suggest more washing machines made available, one for all of the apartments to use was not enough and there was a lengthy wait,and as it was predominantly a walking holiday we did need to wash some items mid week.The apartment kitchen we stayed in was big enough to have its own.Never the less, this did not discourage our stay.The bathrooms were spotless, we had wonderful views from the 3rd floor and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans to cook.Many thanks x

We were made to feel very welcome by Ian on our arrival and shown around our apartment which was on the 4th floor with superb views of the bay. We had 2 cars and were able to park both cars for free in the carpark for the duration of our stay. The apartment was well equipped, clean and well maintained.

This is the second time we are staying at the Esplanade Court and this is by far our favourite stay in Oban. Iain and Mora, who run the place, are both lovely, very welcoming and accommodating. The apartments have everything you need, a well equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances (and gadgets), bedrooms are spacy with ample storage space and comfy beds, and in the shower the water has an excellent pressure and runs nice and hot. The apartments are very thoroughly cleaned (I have an issue with cleanliness, a bit OCD, so wouldn't book second time if this was not up to my standards). Both the living room and the bedroom have big windows (from wall to wall) and we've enjoyed panoramic vistas and amazingly beautiful with all sorts of colours sunsets. Views of the ferries coming in and out the pier is a bonus and of course, lovely views over Kerrera (bring your binoculars, you won't be disappointed). The apartments are a walking distance from the town centre, the pier and all lovely coastal walks. Our stay couldn't have been better, and for sure, when we visit Oban again, we will stay again at the Esplanade Crt.

One of the best holiday apartments we've stayed in! A warm welcome from the hosts, Ian and Mora, when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for them. The location was stunning with magnificent views over Oban Bay from our 5th floor apartment. The apartment itself was spacious, very clean and well equipped. The whole of the complex was spotless and so conveniently situated with just a one minute walk to the High Street and all the shops. Despite this proximity, the apartment was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to see visit the area.

Well our second time to Oban in as many months. This time made even more special staying in the esplanade apartments.Welcome from Ian was like seeing an auld freend- thank you. Accommodating mum and wheelchair just brilliant. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed to have a great base, stay and view out to the sea. The fact I could take my dog Harris was even better. Parking a bonus as was the location.My Uncle stayed in anotherof esplanade’s apartments. Excellent propertyExcellent location with beautiful views over the bay.Few minor niggles. Accommodation for 2 people but only supplied with 1 medium and 1 large saucepan and 1 large frying pan - not ideal, smaller versions would have been more usable! Large dishwasher much too big for two people so we ended up washing everything up by hand to help save the planet! Finally, the mugs provided would have been more at home in a canteen. A few more tasteful (perhaps china) examples would have been more in keeping worth the rest of the property.Nonetheless, we had a great week. Thank you, especially for the hospitality.

Great holiday accommodation right on the prom at the front of Oban. Clean, well furnished and rooms are an excellent size. Staff at reception very friendly and well organised. Will definitely use again!

Excellent accommodation,superb views.We also did all our recycling,but we saw the refuse lorry empty all the bins into the one wagon.What’s the point in having different recycling bins?

We're a family of five including a young adult and two older teenagers. All of us loved our stay. Ian, one of two managers, started it off beautifully with his positive demeanor and welcome.He walked us to our apartment and provided helpful information along the way. It was obvious that Ian took great pride in the wonderful property.The apartment was spacious, spotless, and comfortable with amazing harbor views. It is beautifully located in the heart of Oban for enjoyable walking to shops, restaurants, harbor, etc.With parking at a premium in Oban, we greatly appreciated the reserved parking space and didn't use our car again until our departure. If we didn't feel like eating out, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a meal in.The beds and linen were very comfortable. We HIGHLY recommend a stay here and hope to return someday.Thank you Ian and Moira!!

A fantastic place to stay. Clean as a whistle, safe,family friendly,bath and a shower! Farmfoods out back great for fresh milk and bread! Car parked safely as parking can be tricky in oban. Close to all amenities. Ian and mora who are onsite are more than helpful and very friendly. Back next year we hope!!!!

The apartment was clean and comfortable. A little basic in some areas; slow Wi-Fi; TV limited. The strong point is the setting with a lovely view to a busy port. Really nice to just sit by the window and watch it all happening.

This is our second time staying in The Coll apartment. The apartment has got to be the best in Oban, the views are spectacular, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday and with reserved parking as a bonus.Ian and Moria look after the apartments to a very high standard and are always there if you need any help.The location is so close to the shops and restaurants we parked the car and never moved it for a week.There are lovely walks along the front and to the local beach, Ganavan sands. You can just walk down the road and catch a ferry to Mull or even take a trip on a boat for a couple of hours looking at the local wildlife.We highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Oban this is where you should stay.We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and can’t wait to return again!!

My only gripe was the weather but thatcan’t be helped. However the location of Esplanade Court is great even in the rain! The window is a great place to watch the world go by. From drooket holidaymakers to super yachts ( not to mention Calmac) providing lots of interest. The apartments are very comfortable with friendly helpful hosts and everything needed for a great relaxing getaway, Would highly recommend.

Rooms were first class and Ian was the perfect host.Nothing was a problem for him.Weather was terrible but with an all weather jacket we managed to enjoy ourselves. Food at the restaurants was better than excellent.Will certainly go back and stay there.

Can really recommend these apartments. Apart from the amazing view across the harbour and the excellent location, it was like home from home. Very clean and really comfortable. Couldn’t fault the apartment at all.The manager was really helpful too.

Have stayed here multiple times before, and always receive a warm welcome from the hosts Ian and Mora. Apartment spotless and so comfortable, a home from home. We had 2 cars with us this time which we thought might be difficult for parking, however Ian was very accommodating to this, and allowed us to double park at the back of the apartments. Really looking forward to our next visit in October, would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Oban - cannot fault them at all.

The flat was well equipped and very comfortable for sleeping. Having a parking space on site was a great advantage too .I would definitely recommend to family and friends .

We really enjoyed staying at Esplanade Court Holiday Apartments. The apartment was very comfortable, well furnished and had stunning views over Oban bay. We enjoyed watching the ferries coming and going on their journeys to other islands. Ian was very welcoming and helpful and ensured that we had everything we needed. This was our second stay at Esplanade Court, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back, and to recommend friends and family to come here too.

We had stayed at the Esplanade Apartments 3 times in the past but this was by far the best. The attention to detail made us feel as though we were truly privileged guests. Knowing I was a blue badge holder a space had been especially reserved for us right outside the entrance we needed. The resident managers were attentive and extremely friendly throughout our stay. One thing that we have never experienced before was the offer of clean linen, towels, toiletry and kitchen products after the first week. The apartment was clean and well appointed with every thing we needed. Pillows could have been a little softer and a hard wire extension instead of an extender would have improved wifi speeds. This are minor points compared to the overall superb holiday stay we enjoyed.

Recently spent a week with family in the Tiree apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Ian and Mora made us very welcome and were very helpful.

This is our second stay in the apartments and theres nothing bad i can say. The apartments are clean,The towels and bedfing fresh and theres everything you need in the kitchen to make full meals if you want to.The staff are realy friendly and Ian (who checked us in) is very helpful and has a lot of knowledge about the apartments and the area.The view from these apartments are probably the best views you can get which is why we went back a second time and look forward to going again.

We stayed for 8 nights to recover from a leg of the Clipper race. The apartment was perfect. We had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay, comfy beds, endless hot water and well equipped kitchen, a parking space was a huge bonus.. Ian was a lovely host. Very friendly and super helpful. The view from the windows was amazing. Being dog friendly meant that this was a perfect place to stay in.

Wow, what a perfect spot to rest our heads and call "home base". With a family of four, teens 13 and 17, it was wonderful to have more space and a full kitchen. the place was in great shape, the host was lovely and kind, and the location was perfect. We couldn't ask for more!

We have stayed at Esplanade Court every year for well over a decade, which speaks volumes in itself. Well appointed apartments with friendly service, our favourite UK view and car parking. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and ferry terminal means there’s no need to drive every day. Also, unlike a hotel, the apartments offer plenty of space to rattle round if (when) it rains.

My friend and I had a 2 bedroom apartment which was very nice and clean andwell equipped .Ian and Mora were both very nice and helpful. The apartment has a great sea. view . There were no noise from any other apartment it is also in a very good position about a 10 minute walk to town and nearby restaurants. My only suggestion would be to have a shelf or cupboard for you toilet bags.

Esplanade 3 bedroom apartment was spacious and met all of our needs as a family of 5 adults. Very simple - not fancy- but clean and comfortable with awesome views. No dishwasher or laundry facilities in apartment. Communication from Ian was great!

Arrived Friday 2pm, met Ian and Mora who told us the apartment was ready, briefly explained the history of the building,then showed us around explaining all the lifts and exits etc. the apartment itself was fabulous and very clean with everything provided for a self catering stay including free parking right outside the building.the panoramic view over the bay was amazing. Our 3 night stay was very comfortable, and would recommend these apartments.Denise and John

We stayed in Apartment 17 - Staffa which was on the second floor at the front overlooking the Harbour.The Apartment was clean, well appointed and very comfortable and was ideal for two persons. It was only a short walk into town.

Thd Esplanade is the best place to stay in Oban, we should know been coming here for over thirty years. The location is excellent with views over Kerrera and beyond from all apartments.It is always clean and tidy and Ian & Morah are fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful and have all the local knowledge to assist. Car parking is no problem either with just a gentle stroll into the town centre. We can only recommend staying here and we hope to do so for many more years to come. We stayed in the Esplanade apartments for the third time with friends and, as always, there were no complaints. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our short stay.Ian was always on hand and happy to answer any questions and was really helpful and friendly. Our 4th stay! Ian and Mora welcomed us and we were directed to 2nd floor 28, a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 4*Exact layout as we had last year on 3rd floor. Everything you need although no dishwasher this year! Disappointing as we had booked like for like. Bedding and towels are beautifully crisp and clean.WiFi is horrendous even though Ian lent us a booster.The views are to die for, normally, but we were unlucky with the weather this year. Ideal location, parking on site and 5 minute walk max to the shops, restaurants etc.

Ian was very helpful. On arrival Ian showed us to our apartment but booking.com had booked a twin room. Ian soon sorted this for us and gave us a great apartment. The place was very clean and tidy. Very convenient for the town centre and the off street parking certainly is a bonus. Would definitely stop again.

Having visited the apartments a number of times, I found the stay was as I would expect with a warm welcome and a clean apartment. Ian and Mora are excellent hosts and attentive to our needs.

The apartments are ideal for a self catering stay. They are spacious,clean and very comfortable and the views over Oban Bay are spectacular.This is the place to stay when visiting Oban.

This was, I think, our fourth stay at Esplanade Court and we were just as pleased with our accommodation as on previous occasions.The apartment was spotlessly clean and it contained everything we would need.The Wifi was annoyingly inconsistent at times.The thermostat on the shower needs attention as the water was too hot even at the lowest level.Ian and Mora were, as always, tremendous hosts, efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.Hopefully we'll be back again next year.

We have been coming to Oban nearly every year for over 50 years and stayed most of those years at Esplanade Court. It shows how much we love the apartments and Oban that our son and daughter with their families also have holidays at Esplanade Court ! I was excited to just go to Oban in the first place (willing to sleep on the floor if necessary) but then to have such a phenomenal experience with these apartments made my trip to Oban 1000 times better. The hosts were lovely and helpful, greeting me when they saw me but also giving me my personal space. The apartment itself was lovely, with plenty of sitting space, as well as a lovely kitchenette and full bathroom with an awesome shower (the shower pressure was prime). The bed was very comfortable and I was always excited to tuck in at night. Though the wifi was not ideal, different places in the apartment had stronger wifi so if I needed it I could just relocate. Most things were in walking distance (as someone who doesn't love to walk, I never took transit or another means of transport when on the island), and there were great pubs and restaurants literally a few dozen steps away. Above all, the view and location was phenomenal. I spent many hours just sitting by the window and reading, enjoying the fantastic view and the sound of the waves. I will absolutely be returning when I come back to Oban. Thank you for an excellent holiday!

This was our third stay here which in itself speaks volumes for the apartments.They are always of the highest standard with the friendliest staff. We love the views over the harbour and the short walk in to the town centre.If I have one negative comment it is that the Wi-Fi was a bit sketchy at times but as we were on holiday it wasn't much of an issue.We would all recommend the apartments for self catering holidays in a town centre setting.

Back from a lovely weeks holiday in Oban. We stayed in Esplanade Court Holiday Apartments, which are first class. The apartments are very comfortable, with lovely sea views, and are immaculately clean, and can definitely recommend them. The couple who look after the apartments are very friendly and helpful and always give you a welcome.

The accommodation and facilities provided are excellent. As is the help and assistance provided by Ian and Mora. We have been coming to Esplanade Court every year for over 30years.We think that says it all.

Used the oven a lot but couldn't find any oven clothes which I think are essential and should be provided. Other than that our stay was very comfortable and staff were very helpful and friendly. Walk-in shower was awelcome bonus. We will be back again.

I can highly recommend a stay at the Esplanade Court Apartments. Ian is a very approachable and warm-hearted host and the location in the first row of the harbour is great. Everything in Oban is within walking distance and there is free parking in front of the building. I had a flat on the 5th floor with a great view of the harbour and the island of Kerrera and the island of Mull. The flat was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Oban is a lovely place and a great base for exploring the Highlands and the southern isles of the Inner Hebrides.Conclusion: I will definitely choose a holiday flat in the Esplanade Court Apartments again if I come back to Oban.

I'm so glad we found this apartment - it was our first stop in Scotland and exceeded our expectations. The views were amazing, and together with the friendly, helpful hosts, comfortable clean apartment, parking and flat short walk to the town centre it was a fantastic start to our Scottish holiday. We even caught fish for our dinner on a fishing trip from opposite the front door!

One problem was no freezer.The biggest problem was, having been told by central booking office, the 2 bedroom apartment would have 2 parking spaces however that was not the case, we were told on arrival, only 1 parking space per flat. The only other concern after a long journey, no teabags or milk etc.However,it will not deter us from coming back and we now know so all well in the end.Overall a great stay!

Second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back. The apartments are lovely with the most wonderful views of the bay, Kerrera and Mull. Kitchen very well equipped so it was easy for us to eat in.Staff very friendly and genuine.Location excellent for arrival by car, train or ferry and lots of local restaurants and shops nearby.

Excellent location right in the centre of town with stunning views over the harbour. Ian exceeded our expectations on arrival with the warmest welcome, and full explanation of the property layout and surrounding area we’ve received anywhere during our three month journey around Europe. The apartment was clean,comfortable and noise-free, with access to a communal laundry, and an in-room smart tv. The only negative was there were no basic kitchen necessities provided such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil etc. A very minor issue, more than compensated by the warm hospitality we experienced. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

My elderly parents stayed in a one bedroom apartment from 18th to 25th May. Both have mobility issues and the staff could not have done more for them and this made their stay even more special and reassured myself whilst they were away. Ian, the manager even took them to the train station for their return so they didn't need to book or pay for a taxi. They also provided a walking stick for my Dad during his stay.My parents absolutely loved the apartment which was very modern and had all the utensils they required. The apartment had fantastic views over the bay and they loved sitting watching the ferries coming and going.Thank you for making my Mum and Dad's holiday so special. Excellent accomodation and welcome from IAM and Moira who are great hosts who obviously take pride in their work.I would still like to see grab rails in the showers: not everyone will use the nonslip mats and showers are inherently dangerous places. This would be relatively cheap and potentially more worthwhile than lighted mirrors.Special thanks, though, got an enjoyable, comfortable base at a time of difficult weather.

It was really nice staying in a lovely apartment which had a wonderful view of Oban and nearby islands.The apartment was immaculate and we had a very comfortable stay.

I have come here many times and I brought some family members this time. They could see why I come here. Good and central yet there is opportunity to have peace and quiet too. Now they are going to bring their friends and let them enjoy these lovely apartments and the great wee town of Oban. Ian and Mora are lovely hosts and were very helpful when I had an accident. Obliging but unobtrusive and on hand for anything. Great hospitality in a lovely place.

We had a wonderful apartment with beautiful views across the harbor to Kerrera. Ian and Moira were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about things to do and see. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Had a lovely week in Oban - Island hopped to Mull and Iona which was wonderful. Weather was kind to us which meant we could sit outside at the many fantastic cafes, bars and restaurants in the town centre - The Oban Inn, The cuan mor and EE-USK to mention just a few, there are many more. The shops were great too.The apartment was first class, spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great views to the harbour and beyond - excellent. This was our second week at the esplanade court. It is a very comfortable apartment, you have everything you need as well as on site parking. Step out onto the promenade for an evening walk or a short walk into the centre of town. The weather was very kind while we were visiting and just looking out from our rooms watching all the boats coming to and fro was fascinating.If you have them take binoculars.The lift was a great boon and everywhere was very smart.Ian and Maura were very welcoming and always on hand making it an excellent holiday.

We have just returned from our sixth stay at Esplanade Court. We cannot recommend it highly enough, every comfort in very well equipped apartments with outstanding views. Just home from 5 night stay at the Esplanade apartments,On arrival we had a very warm and informative welcome from Ian.He took us up in the lift carried our luggage showed us round and explained everything we needed to know.The apartment was spotless clean and very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday.The panoramic view over Oban bay and Mull was amazing and we spent many happy hours watching boats and ferries going in and out the harbour also people.We had a wee problem with TV and Mora came right up and sorted our problem and had a good breather with us giving us good advice.I must say Esplanade apartment are the best we have stayed in and Ian and Mora by far the best host ever.I hada problem with my mobility and Ian gave me a loan of a walking stick to help me get around which was very much appreciated.Check out was every bit as good as check in and Mora even ran us to the train station.This lovely couple are the best hosts we have encountered in 53 years of marriage.Would recommend the Esplanade to anyone who is looking for great accomodation with the best hosts in Oban.We will return as soon as we can.Thank you so much Ian and Mora for a very special holiday!!

Comfy sofas and comfy beds, good cooking facilities for eating in (when required) and a beautiful view over Oban Bay and Ferry Terminal. Not my first time in Oban, but my first time in this place. It was pretty special. The flat was exactly as it should be: clean and spacious, with a fabulous sea view. Ian at the reception desk was friendly and very helpful. Had a great time.Only minor point: the quality of the wifi... it worked only in the bedrooms and not in the living room.

Had another amazing weekend in Oban, my daughter and I were in Rm 504 which was a beautiful room with amazing views. Staff are amazing and nothing seems to be a problem very chatty and friendly.Looking forward for next year.

We stayed for 3 nights. The manager Ian gave us a very warm welcome. He works along with his wife Maura, who oversees the cleaning. The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The grounds are well laid out, with wide parking bays and well maintained shrub beds. We would recommend these apartments to anyone who puts a high importance on cleanliness, comfort, peace and quiet. And of course the wonderful views and central location for all facilities in the town.

The apartment was fabulous.The view from our front window was overlooking the harbor. We saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was located in the downtown area. Ian and Mora (hope this is correct spelling) were tremendous hosts and always greeted us. Parking was on-site. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This was a return visit for us following an excellent holiday last year. We were delighted to again experience the friendly and helpful welcome from hosts Ian and Mora, the very high standards of oresentation of the Apartment and, of course the Views. Sunset over Oban Bay is an experience not to be missed.All in, highly recommended

We had a great time in an beautiful apartment with a astonishing vieuw!It was also very clean and we had a great stay!

What is there to say? We returned again for our 3rd anniversary to room 403 Kerrera. We arrived early after an overnight drive and Ian called to say we could park the car and the room would be ready by noon. The early check in was very welcome. As usual, Ian and Mora were perfect hosts and the room was spotless. We were lucky with the weather and had several outstanding sunsets to view over the bay. The only downside is having to return home!

Many thanks to Ian and Moira for the good care and for the very well kept apartment. We will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful break in Oban at Esplanade Court our favourite spot for many years.Ian and Mora are so helpful, they are just a delightful couple and do everything they can to make your holiday stay pleasant and memorable.So much so my Aunt and myself are returning in June for another 5 night stay.

We spent a wonderful week here & our one bedroom apartment was superb. It had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, in a great location with an amazing view. Ian was really helpful & friendly & we wouldn't hesitate recommending it as a great place to stay.

We stayed five midweek nights in the one bedroom block - well sound proofed and a superb view of the Oban habour and the Sound of Mull. We were very disappointed that since we booked the baths had been removed and replaced by showers. After a day cycling we enjoy a bath and consider shower-only units ok basic but not five-star. Self catering units surely also ought to supply oven gloves. Ian did try to relocate us, but wasn't able to do so - his welcome and attention helps to make the holiday, as does the free parking. Despite these comments we had an excellent stay; the flats are well presented and their location incomparable.

The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming and the comfortable accommodation provides everything you need for a home from home experience.

Had a great week at the Esplanade Court Apartments.Our apartment had recently been done out so everything was new and spotlessly clean.The apartments have their own parking and are close enough to the town for a short walk but far enough out to be nice and quiet.The hosts are on site and extremely helpful and friendly, making sure we were happy with everything.The apartment had a fabulous view so we could watch the ships coming and going into Oban Harbour and was well kitted out.Little things like a sponge for the dishes, handsoaps, toilet roll and cleaning sprays are provided which is a nice bonus.There is a lift if you need one.Everything is well looked after and maintained and we had nothing to complain about.Would certainly go back if we return to Oban.

This apartment was fantastic, met all our needs as two families holidaying in Oban for a week with young children. Location and view are stunning. Apartment is clean and cosy with lots of conveniences; washing machine, tumble drier, lift, waste chute, massive freezer, plenty of wine glasses, the list goes on. The only thing that surpassed the apartment were Ian and Mora themselves with their warm welcome, happy demeanour and their help getting us all unloaded and again checked out too. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our holiday. Thank you again to you both.

It was lovely to return to Esplanade Court. The welcome by Ian and Mora was outstanding from the start and the apartment for six of us, adults and young children, just great. Nothing can beat the views across Oban bay from every apartment, come rain or shine. One of the great things is being able to dine in each night while watching such a view: plenty of good takeaway options, too, nearby to make life easy.The apartments are really well equipped, spacious, most comfortable and extremely well managed. Having such easily accessible parking on your doorstep is great, too. So we cannot recommend them highly enough and will be certainly be back again and again.

Spent New Year at Esplanade and it was absolutely brilliant and Ian & Moria are the most fantastic hosts with. I thing being too much trouble ,,we we welcomed with a bottle of fizz and some mint matchmakers to bring in the New Year and also they had some drinks on reception desk for guests returns from fireworks display at midnight ,,,booked our next stay already,,,,looooove it there , wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Oban☺️

It was a pleasure to return to the Esplanade Apartments.We had to reschedule because of flooded roads but this was done professionally and with no fuss.The beds were very comfy and everything was just as we remembered.Tiny point is the bath taps and shower in hall bathroom are quite tricky to control.Ian and Mora always greeted us cheerfully whenever they saw us - a treat in today’s world.

Ian: SOOoo helpful, especially when he went the extra mile when we asked for an extra two nights.Mora: queen of the housekeeping, produces spotlessly cleaned apartments, best we've seen.Nothing is too much trouble for this special couple. No wonder we've returned for four years running.

First I would like to thank the Nicholson family for giving us the week from 14.10 to 23.10 as the week we had booked from 7.10 to the 14.10 started with heavy flooding on the Saturday the 7.10 closing many roads making it impossible to travel. We had a great stay, some great weather considering the time of the year as well. Hope to come back next year, also hope the prices stay the same.

The staff were extremely considerate, especially regarding flexible check in and check out times, as my stay was off season and they weren't full.Everything in the apartment worked well, it was very comfortable, with adjustable heating in each room. The view from the window was breathtaking and the location right in town was excellent.

The customer service was excellent we received a call prior to our visit from the hotel a very nice touch and a friendly experience and they explained the check-in procedure.On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Ian who told us everything we needed to know and a small history about the owners and history behind the hotel It gave the whole experience a very homely; family feel, he patted our Dog; and gave us some very helpful reading material about the area and walked us up to our room (Lifts are available for every floor) The room was huge and had a amazing sea view, far exceeding our expectations and they had even warmed our room for us on arrival (amazing) Prior to the trip, we were unsure whether we would have to drive everywhere but the hotel is so well positioned we could walk to the Whisky distillery in less than a couple of minutes the shops and bars the same and the seafront in around 30 seconds and again the restaurants again in around 30 seconds, it's just far enough from the center that you don't hear the pubs but close to excellent restaurants and shops that don't attract evening noise. If you do want something a little more lively 5 minutes or less will be your walking distance. If any of the hotel staff saw us they were polite and gave us a wave. As the Apartments are pet friendly you would maybe expect to find them a little run down in areas but they certainly weren't, High-end Bathroom mirrors, etc TV, two sofas and a chair overlooking the bay, Cleaning products, fresh towels, knives, forks, dishes, etc all yr cooking utensils microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, and fridge all immaculately cleaned and in good condition, I am a contract cleaner so these things stand out to me and the attention to detail was better than most of the places I have stayed in. The soundproofing was also top-notch we have a fox-red labrador and considering it is a hotel that accepts pets you expect that there may be a little noise but we never heard a peep. The bed mattresses felt brand new and the pillows comfortable; On departure again everything was as we now were getting used to (maybe a little selfishly) flawless ...Ian and his wife's management of the premises was seamless and they went the extra mile on every single interaction with us. The owners I am sure are very proud of their staff and to be fair I would think they are probably just one big family. WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR.

Despite a delay due you flooding / landslides we eventually arrived a few days later than planned. The outlook is always relaxing watching the world go by and ferries going back / forward. The apartment (Coll) is ideal for all of us and has loads of space. It was very clean and there was everything and more in the apartment you needed. I even managed to get the washing done before I came home so saved myself some time too. Ian and Mora and very welcoming helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have been going to the apartments for a number of years and will return again soon.

These apartments cannot be faulted. We have been staying here over past 30 years and never had a complaint. Each year there have been improvements made such as new carpeting or furniture and everything is spotlessly clean. Management always on hand to deal with any problems.

This place is just brilliant our two appartments were beautiful so clean and with a view to die for Our caretaker host Ian was absolutely amazing for on all our phone calls and our time there was nothing he couldn’t do to make our stay better this company are very lucky to have him we all just loved our stay here

We have frequently stayed at the appartments over many years,and never had any complaints.you won’t get better equipped appartments with stunning views ,no matter what time of the year.The appartments are spotless with lovely bed linen and towels ,everything you need if you want to cook and eat in .We have just returned after a lovely week,but unfortunately the end of the week Argyle & Bute was hit with torrential rain that caused widespread flooding and landslides which caused Oban to be isolated with no road in or out. We can’t thank Ian & Mora enough for going out their way to accommodate us until we were able to drive home to Falkirk.He kept us informed of the conditions on the roads and assured us we were able to stay till the roads cleared .Their kindness was greatly appreciated. A lovely couple who give you such a warm welcome and are always on hand if you need any assistance .Definitely somewhere you should stay if you want a comfortable ,relaxing stay with the best views ever .

The apartment was clean, fully stocked and very comfortable. Views of the harbour are second to none - even when it is pouring and blowing strongly. Staff are most friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. There was a secure place to leave bikes. Thoroughly recommend these apartments.

We recently stayed for a week at Esplanade court.From the minute we arrived Mora and Ian couldnot have been more helpful.The apartment was spotless and their offers of help due to our limited physical abilities was very welcome.

Enjoyed our time in Oban. The location of our apartment was brilliant with fantastic views of the Bay from all windows. The ferry port, train station and buses are 5 mins walk away. Also very good restaurants and takeaways all close by. There's a cinema 5 mins away too. Good for rainy days. Our apartment was really well maintained and lovely and clean. It felt very homely and a pleasure to stay in. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding crisp and clean. We slept well every night. The TV was a smart TV and if you have your sign in details you can watch Netflix. There's free WiFi too. There are lifts to all floors. We stayed on floor 3. A big thank you to the managers Ian and Mora (I hope I spelt the names right) who really looked after us during our stay. Such a pleasant couple. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

This is our 2nd stay at Esplanade Court. Lovely comfortable clean apartments with breathtaking views over Oban Bay. Lift to all floors ( essential for my mum). Private parking which is a big help in Oban. The warm welcome from Ian and Mora is an added bonus. Feels like visiting old friends. They are always on hand if any problems ( not that we had any) and always time for a chat. Hope to return again in the future.

HiWe love the location and the apartment.This was our second visit.Some hopefully constructive criticism:We found advance online registration required irritating. Busy wheen preparing to go away, don't need additional bureaucracy. There is no substitute for a friendly face when arriving however convenient this is for the host.The Internet is dire.The toilet flush needs improvement.The skirting boards and especially the floor behind the bedside cabinet next to the double bed fell well below expected standards of cleanliness.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Ian and Mora who gave us a brief history of the accommodation we were to stay in. The three bed apartment was spotlessly clean, well furnished with plenty of room. To top it all our view from the living room window overlooked the beautiful bay of Oban. We had a wonderful holiday.

Our apartment (303) was excellent: clean, comfortable, well appointed and with super views, although the kitchen could do with a potato peeler.Just two minor complaints: firstly, TV reception was poor with the picture breaking up at times making it unwatchable.Secondly, the unreliable and intermittent WiFi was irritating.On the plus side Ian and Mora are brilliant - always friendly and helpful.They really enhance the holiday experience.

We have just returned home after 4 days in this very comfortable apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed, there was constant hot water and heating (a big plus when you’re an old fogie), tv reception was excellent, but above all what fabulous views over the bay. It’s the first thing you notice when you walk in.We only met Ian and he is very welcoming, very helpful, full of information - he just made us feel at home. From other reviews it seems his partner is exactly the same 😁This was a last minute booking and pure chance we selected Esplanade but we will definitely be going back.The only downside was the weather - but you don’t holiday in Scotland for the weather! And the view was so lovely, it was no hardship to sit indoors warm and comfortable and watch the coming and going of all the different ferries and boats gong in and out of the harbour.For dog owners, Ganavan beach is a short drive away and an excellent place to walk your dog.We had a lovely meal at Coasters which is a couple of minutes walk from the apartments. The little War and Peace museum is very interesting and worth a visit too.

From the moment we pulled into the car Park Ian was there to welcome us and we were given a reserved cone for parking as Derek is a full time wheelchair user From the moment Ian opened the Coll Apartment door we were mesmerised by the beautiful views the apartment was so spacious clean very comfortable I cannot speak highly enough of the apartment or the help Ian and Moira gave to us during our stay we were sorry to leave but will be returning next year

The apartment was excellent to live in. Everything spotless and neat. Complete with a view to remember for a long time. Mora and Ian are top notch. We felt very at home during our stay. Now that we are gone we would love to go back right away.

This is the second time that we have stayed in the Esplanade Appartments.The first time was in a 1 bed apartment which was very good, this time we had a 2 bedroom apartment which suited us perfectly with our Labrador retriever as we had more room.The view from the apartment overlooking the harbour entrance was superb, the apartment had all the equipment that you may need staying for a few nights or more.The managers Ian and Moira were friendly, very helpful and were always on hand if anything was needed.I would recommend this property to anyone who wanted value for money accommodation with fantastic views 5 minutes walk from the port, railway and bus station and also the centre of the city.

We have been holidaying at Esplanade Court for 20+ years and have never been disappointed. The views from the windows are incredible and the sunsets are breathtaking. Everything you need is provided.

My husband and I first heard about the flats from our son who had been visiting from the time his boys were young. We have now had our 6th visit and feel at home. The flats are perfectly placed with only a short walk to the ferry terminal and shops. The flats are well appointed with fridge, cooker etc. Bathrooms with good quality towels. The views are wonderful and I just wish I was still fit enough to take the walk up Pulpit hill which gives a full panoramic view of Oban and some of the islands. The Atlantis centre has not only a swimming pool but a gym and other features. Nothing beats being able to sit at your living room window and watch the boats in the evening after either eating in or at one of the local eating places. Visit and enjoy

Having visited a number of times, the standard of comfort and cleanliness was high as I would have expected. Ian and Mora are warm and friendly hosts.

The best thing about these apartments is the view of the water where you can watch boats coming and going - the life of a busy waterway. Next, they are within walking distance of everything in Oban. The apartments themselves are very clean on arrival and you are supplied with everything you need for your stay.Be assured of a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed.The management are great, everything explained on arrival with all questions answered fully and always available during your stay if anything crops up. Ian, the current manager, is perfect for the job - friendly and very competent.Nothing is too much trouble. This also makes the holiday much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Location was ideal. Easy walking distance to everything and beautiful views. The flat was good value for money. Quite basic but clean and well laid out with everything we needed and beds were very comfortable.Easy parking and lift access to room made a great difference from other places we've stayed in though you could easily have a great holiday there without a car. WiFi wasn't great but we also didn't have great reception with our mobile internet access so might just be the location.Ian and Mora were exceptionally welcoming and helpful and made the complex feel relaxed and friendly as well as well-run.We would definitely be happy to stay there again and to recommend it to others.

We stayed in room 305. Whilst it was comfortable and clean the living room could do with a change of furniture and some extra furniture. Just not enough for 4 people. The toilet seat in the bathroom is loose, the toilet roll holder in en-suite needs moved forward and light pull in en-suite needs moved as you walk into it.

Great place to stay for lots of reasons - great host, stunning view, comfortable large apartment, free parking, and very central for town centre.

Excellent accomodation. All I needed. Position on sea front, could watch the sea and ferries go in and out of Oban port. Quiet bedroom. Walk in shower and bath. Well equipped kitchen.Helpful staff. Parking worked well.

The location is superb with views of the marina to watch the ferries and other boats coming and going plus you can walk to food, shops, etc. Ian and Mora were wonderful hosts providing us with a greeting every day, recommendations for things to see, places to eat, and more. Beds are definitely doubles which is harder for my husband at 6'3" so that was our only hardship at this location -- We'd definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable and very clean. Absolutelystunning view, much better than having the TV on. The kitchen, although very functional, was a little tired and a lack of cupboard space for groceries meant that we had to put them on the side or leave them in the bag. Arrived on saturday to be met by ian and could not have had a nicer welcome. He explained about the hotel and offered to take our bags,then showed us to our room on floor 5.The apartment was well equipped, spacious, quiet and clean with probably the best view over the bay and only 2 minutes walk to the centre.We had a great stay and would book again 100%

We stayed in a third floor apartment and had a wonderful time there. The view from the big living room windows and the bedroom was beautiful and ever-changing.We enjoyed people watching, and the constant ferries crossing to the islands, the wonderful sunsets and took some memorable pictures. Oban has everything you could want with a variety of pubs and restaurants snd great sea trips on offer - we took the Three Islands trip to Mull, Iona and Staffa. IanMora looked after us so well and wereso welcoming. Definitely coming back!

Lovely 2 bed apartment close to the town centre.Newly carpeted throughout so nice and fresh.Wonderful vIews of the bay from living room and dining kitchen.Can sit with a coffee and watch the boats bobbing about. Lift access so good for our mother in law who has poor mobility.Ian was always really helpful and cheery in the mornings.Nice and quiet building, perfect for peaceful breaks. Dog friendly as well which was fantastic.Location as well to secure our bikes.

We’re just home from our at least sixth stay at Esplanade Court (I’ve lost count!) and once again we found our allocated apartment to be of the highest standard. Spotlessly clean, well furnished and comprehensively equipped.And of course views out over the bay to die for !!Ian and Mora, the resident hosts, also go out of their way to give a very friendly personal service and I have to thank Ian for his valuable suggestion when I had a spot of car trouble - it took away a lot of the wory about getting home. We loved the view of the bay from the kitchen.The Location is really good, it‘s just a quick stroll from the city center. Ian and his wife Mora were always cheerful and happy to help.It was a wonderful week, we enjoyed our Family stay.

We stayed for a week in the Lismore apartment. We have been many times before and again found the apartment clean and tidy with a very comfy bed and all the little things you need.The views are outstanding. Coasters next door offers lovely food and again stunning views of the bay. Try the Indian restaurant behind the apartment excellent value. And of course the free parking is a godsend. We loved our stayWd particularly enjoyed the view from our apartment.The managers were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Our apartment was very clean, large, comfortable and well equiped.

Room as always clean and tidy. Number of fittings and fixtures recently updated. Plenty of towels etc. Cooking facilities good and plenty of knives and forms etc. Friendly welcome and Ian always hand if you had a query.

Once again Esplanade Court apartments in Oban surpassed themselves with their hospitality. This year we had a Mull apartment, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, separate kitchen(with dishwasher!) and lounge. Being a large apartment would definitely benefit from a washing machine and dryer. The view as usual was spectacular and parking isn’t ever a problem. WiFi is still very temperamental though.Ian and his wife, sorry I don’t know your name, were so friendly and helpful.Thank you once again and see you next year!

I think ‘it does what it says on the tin’. An ideal location, very comfortable, great welcoming staff, great view no matter the weather, quite neighbours, well cleaned….can’t think of any negatives, all positive.

I’ve been to these apartments many times and never tire of them. Great view, central and all practical amenities. Comfort and great service. Iain took my bags up stairs for me which was much appreciated as I have a back injury. Iain & Morar were lovely very attentive hosts. I hope to return next year for the same recuperation.

Our stay at Esplanade Court was just right for us. A roomy apartment with spectacular views over the harbour,close to places to have a mealor look at the shops. A 10- minute walk to the ferryFriendly and obliging management staff.Would happily recommend Esplanade Court as a great place to stay in this beautiful location .

We had an excellent stay at Esplanade Court Holiday Apartments in Oban, spending about a week there with my family of 4. Lots of space. Very clean and quiet. Only hiccup was poor wi-fi in the apartment which Ian quickly remedied by giving us a wi-fi extender to use. Wonderful! Thanks for hosting us Ian!

From the first minute that Ian greeted us our stay was fabulous.Ian was so friendly and welcoming.VThe apartments were spotless and had everything we needed.The location was close to town and the train station and ferry terminal.The view was absolutely incredible looking over the island of Kerrera towards the Isle of Mull.We definitely hope to return to Oban and stay at the Esplanade Court apartments.

We've been coming here off and on for more than 20 years and the quality has always been first class. This year was no exception and the Nicholsons have found an excellent management team in Ian and Mora. They take a genuine interest in all their guests and nothing is too much trouble for them, from front of house greeting to helping with luggage and in some cases transporting guests to bus and train connections. The rooms have all been kept smartly up to date and very clean. And of course the view - wish we could take it home.

This apartment is in the perfect location for visiting Oban as central for everything and has parking which is essential.The host Ian was very welcoming and helpful.We stayed in the Lismore apartment which was on the 3rd floor and had a lovely view over the bay.Take binoculars as there is lots to see with the ferries and boats going backwards and forwards.This was a home away from home and made it a lovely place to visit.

So lovely and clean, great couple running it,very obliging when required, the apartment so clean,and change of sheets and towels when staying longer, will be back next year, I have already booked.

Stayed here with my 85 year old mum for 4 days and can honestly it was a pleasure. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, all new carpets. Can’t thank Ian and Mora enough for making us feel very welcome. This short break was outstanding. Now looking to book with a friend for September. Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment was fantastic. Heaps of space to move around and an uninterrupted view of Oban and the bay. Apartment is only 2 minutes walk from the town centre.Ian and Mora were very friendly and helpful and always made us welcome. Highly recommend.

"Lismore"(south wing, fourth floor). We liked the superior aspect and elegant surroundings of the accommodation, although it was not the Lismore (404) that we thought we had booked. The shower/bath arrangement was not entirely suitable for us as over 80s! Otherwise we enjoyed the stay immensely despite the weather! Full marks to the "managers" who were most helpful and friendly.

We can highly recommend Esplanade Court Holiday Cottages. We have stayed here on many occasions and the service has been excellent.On our last stay the television was not working but within a few hours it was replaced with a brand new set.Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts Ian and Marna.We can assure you that you will not be disappointed when you choose to stay at this establishment.

Fresh, clean, typically furnished holiday let, excellent situation on seafront, ample parking, friendly, helpful managers. First holiday let I've stayed where there was no welcome tray or any tea, coffee, sugar or milk in the fridge also first time had to pay to do laundry.78year old and granddaughter 14 ( not covered in options )

We have stayed in this accommodation nearly every year for the past 30 odd years. We have enjoyed our stays every time and would recommend Esplanade Court Apartments to anyone wishing to spend a few days in Oban. The current Management Team of Ian and Moira were extremely helpful and being in our late 70's were very grateful for their help in getting all our luggage to our apartment.

The Esplanade Court Apartments are ideally situated in the centre of Oban. An added bonus is having a parking place.Our apartment was well designed and furnished.It was immaculately clean and had all the facilities we required.Both the management couple were very welcoming and friendly and they provided outstanding service. We would not hesitate to recommend these apartments.

This was our second stay at Esplanade Court.The fact that we returned for a second holiday speaks volumes about the quality of the apartment.It was immaculately clean, had a fully equipped kitchen and the comfiest bed I've slept in away from home.Ian and Moira were the prefect hosts; welcoming and approachable but not intrusive. We returned to the Esplanade having stayed there in 2021. We are a group of scientists using it as a base for local fieldwork, for which it works very well.We had two apartments, Kerrera and Mull, off the same foyer, so convenient for going to the larger apartment for breakfast and sandwich making.Top floor is good as there is some traffic noise from both sides.Apartments are large, well equipped and had been refurbished since our last visit.Great views over the sea to Mull, and good location for lots of local restaurants.Parking good too.

My wife and I have been visiting Scotland for over 35 years and we have stayed in a lot of different regions and a lot of different accommodation types. Esplanade Court in Oban is definitely one of our favourite stays, the apartments are in a great location with stunning views from the front windows and very handy for restaurants and the ferry terminal for day sails to the islands. The Apartments have everything you need and we had a very warm welcome from the proprietors Ian and Mora who have taken over reception from Alastair. Ian rang us the day before our holiday to let us know that they were expecting us and that our apartment had been prepared in readiness for our stay, a nice touch I thought.Would highly recommend Esplanade Court for a stay in Oban, it’s superbly situated where you can watch the ferry and sailing boat activity in the bay which provides a superb viewpoint and backdrop when relaxing. Another plus is the free parking which tends to be a bit of a problem with many alternative properties in Oban.We always look forward to visiting Oban for the variety of activities on offer. We have tried many other hotels and self catering places in and around Oban over the years but now we just stay at Esplanade Court because we consider it the ideal stay. 10 out of 10 for us, didn’t want to leave !

Enjoyed our 4 nightson the Bay in the heart of Oban, great parking and short walk to restaurants, shopping and ferry. Ian and Mora are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to stay here, although can be slightly noisy with revellers passing the front or the announcements from the Mull ferry as it passes right in front of the apartments!

As always, everything perfect. Ian is proving to be an excellent host, of whom we will be glad to see more.There are no superlatives to match the quality of the Esplanade Experience!

We loved the Mull apartment.The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular.Ian who manages the property is super communicative, friendly, and welcoming on arrival and Moira cleaned the flat to perfection (my partner is fussy!).The apartment is smack in the centre of Oban with excellent parking. My only criticism is that the couches in the living room are too low to appreciate the stunning views whilst seated.Otherwise everything was perfect!Thank you :)

Third time I have stayed at Esplanade Court. The apartments are well-appointed and comfortable. The position overlooking Oban Bay is excellent.My dog comes with me and is welcomed.Five minutes walk will take you to the main shopping street.The live-in caretakers are very helpful and are on-hand to answer any wuqetions.

We have known these apartments for about 40 years and have always enjoyed our stay. They are clean, well maintained and beautifully positioned on the seafront. All shops, restaurants and tourist attractions are on the doorstep and the views from the apartments are amazing.

We booked Esplanade Court last minute and chose it because of the position on the front and parking. We were completely bowled over by the apartment. Firstly Ian, who met us at reception, was very welcoming. The apartment on the ground floor was spacious, spotlessly clean and on one of the hottest days of the year cool. We enjoyed the viewand proximity to all the facilities available in Oban. We highly recommend it.

Stayed at the Esplanade twice before and it is always spotlessly clean and lots of room with a full kitchen,not that we cooked that much. Couldn’t have imagined how beautiful the outlook over the bay was. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable with a really comfortable bed. Being so close to the harbours within easy walking made evenings very simple.The main difference for many will be the fact that the hosts were on site and from the start Ian and Mora made it so easy.Our parting shot was a personal wave cheerio from Ian.

From the moment we arrived early with a request to store our luggage Ian and his wife were there to greet us and reassure us all was fine. Our family were first greeted with handshakes and welcomed with a friendly chat regards information and rules of the house.The apartment was spotlessly clean to a high standard with many additional touches such as liquid soaps,cleaning equipment in the kitchen etc. Fresh white linen and bedding, comfortable beds and stunning harbour views and sunsets from the windows.While here we noticed Ian's enthusiasm and visibility, seen working in the garden and carrying out many varied tasks. Right on the front with a great sea view.Spotlessly clean with all the kitchen utensils etc you need, even a full bottle of washing up liquid unlike some self catering places.Parking right outside and a lift to avoid lifting all your bags up and down stairs.This was my first stay here and I'll definitely stay again in the future.

Our Esplanade Court Holiday Apartment was very comfortable and well appointed, and centrally located in Oban, along the seafront promenade. Being on the third floor meant we had great views of the harbour, and the sunsets. There are lifts to the floors, which is great. The staff were friendly, and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Staff were super friendly and helpful! They moved us to a room that was more what we thought we had booked. Loved the location and the view. Having a washing machine on site was a definite plus for us. Room was recently redone and everything was new and in excellent condition.

Had a brilliant weekend staying in Esplanade apartments , beautiful views over Bonny Oban Bay, accommodation was spotless, very warm welcome from Ian and Mora, will definitely be back as its the best view we have had from any apartment we have stayed in before in Oban, lift wasa bonus if required, free parking on site was great.

We are returning customers to these apartments; they have been our go-to place to stay in Oban for years. The location is perfect, very central and close to all amenities, yet a step removed from the town centre so avoiding the hustle and bustle of a busy touristy town. The apartments are spotless, and one of the big attractions for us is that every flat has a spectacular view of Oban bay and the isle of Kerrera.Towels are provided, as are the basics of hand wash and toilet roll; however you will need to bring everything else, including tea/coffee, salt & pepper etc. This is fair enough and expected on a self-catering holiday. Electricity is included in the price, which is much better than the dated coin-operated meters we have found in other Oban apartments. The TV has freeview channels on it, but we didn't really watch it - we were too busy staring at the views!The owners were perfectly lovely people, very friendly and chatty, we could not have been made more welcome. They were very accommodating in allowing me to store and charge a mobility scooter in the lobby area, which was very much appreciated. There is a small lift to all floors so, even disabled people like myself can have an upper floor with the wonderful views.The only downside for us was the furniture. The beds were really hard - not just firm mattresses, but hard beds. It left us both in a lot of pain after a full week, back, knees, hips etc were really sore every morning. The living room furniture was unfortunately the same; the sofas were soft enough to sit on initially but after about half an hour you could feel the hard ridges of the edges and the cushions provided no respite. They were also really low and, as a disabled customer, I needed help to get back up. Even the dining chairs were hard and uncomfortable.It is a shame as we have really enjoyed our stays here in the past, but I don't think we will be coming back as we were both left crippled with pain at the end of our week's stay. This is the only reason I have given this 4 stars instead of 5. If the furniture is ever replaced, we will definitely come back.

We have just spent a week in the Esplanade Apartments and no better place to stay. Friendly welcome, spacious 2 bedroom apartment, which was very clean and pristine, couple running the apartments always available for any inquiries, nothing too much bother. Stunning views of the marina and surrounding area. Oban is a lovely town with all amenities close at hand.

We have been staying in the apartments for around 10 years now and have never had a disappointment.Always clean and well maintained with some new fittings this year, heaters, lights, mirrors etc.New live in manager very welcoming and obliging.

First stay at Esplanade Apartments. Very nice roomswith great views over Oban bay and out to Mull. Ideal town centre location with onsite parking within easy walking distance of train station, ferry port, restaurants and shops. Friendly welcome from owners on arrival who have worked hard to provide high standard of accommodation.

My mother and I found the apartment (no. 105 Iona) perfect for us. It was close to the lift and stairs so access was easy, it was spacious, warm, well equipped and comfortable. The views were tremendous and Ian and Maura were excellent hosts, helping us and chatting whenever we saw them.

The Managers Ian and Mora are so welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble to make sure your stay is enjoyable.The Apartments are in a great location with a wonderful view of the sea. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a full kitchen and everything you need all for your stay.Will miss sitting at the kitchen table watching the boats and ferries going in and out of the harbour. We look forward each year to coming back to Esplanade Court for a warm welcome and very comfortable accommodation. Each year it seems there is something new to discover, this year it was a new television which was very welcome on the couple of days we had rain!Mostly the weather was very good, sunny most days, which is quite good for Scotland in mid May.The view from the flats is excellent and ever changing. The resident hosts are very helpful and welcoming.

Everything about this stay went smoothly.Hosts stayed in regular contact up until time of arrival.Met on arrival and warmly welcomed with excellent instructions for stay.Building was clean and of an excellent decorated standard. Parking was good.

We have had a great stay in lovely Oban and great weather . The apartment was great very clean , comfortable beds, spacious ,and a view second to none. Although I only used one word in the title of my review, I do need much more than one to describe the pleasure and happiness we experienced when we stayed (for the first time) in an apartment at the Esplanade Court Holiday Apartments in Oban on the west Coast of Scotland. Me and my wife had travelled up from North Wales for a weeks holiday at the start of May this year. It was a long journey, but from what we'd read about the Esplanade Apartments we were looking forward to the holiday. The day before travelling, we received a nice text from "Ian" (one of the two people who were looking after the apartments and would meet us on arrival), so this reassured us that our arrival had been prpeared for. When we arrived after 7:00pm on the Sat, were were immediately impressed by the look of the appartment building. Everything was clean and tidy outside. The location was right on the harbour sea front and it looked like all apartments (except perhaps the ground floor ones) had good views of Oban harbour and the hills and mountains in the distance - along with one or two of the nearby islands. Access to the building was good and Car parking excellent. (we had been told that there was a guaranteed place for every apartment). I left my wife in the car whilst I went to the reception. Within a couple of minutes of ringing the bell at reception (well it was well after 7:00pm!) I was met by Ian (a very pleasant chap indeed). He gave a brief but relaxed explantion of essentials relating to the appartments (access, keys, parking etc). He gave me the keys and escorted us to our apartment. Inside the building was lovely - spotlessly clean, well carpeted and decorated. The lift to out apartment was great (apparently all the apartments are similarly accessible) and stopped right opposite out 3rd floor apartment! (It was silentin operation and only took 15 seconds to reach the 3rd floor). Ian showed us where everything was inside and amiably chatted with us about Oban and its facilities. I must admit I wasn't taking it all in as I was MESMERISED! by the fantastic views from the apartments two big (double glazed) windows. I'd never imagined such beautiful views. After a short time Ian left us and we eplored the apartment for ourselves. It looked great. Spotlessly clean and tidy with all the facilities and domestic equipment one would need to enjoy a holiday. Those views though - they were out of this world! From the lounge diner (which had a small but perfectly adequate dining table overlooking the fab views) to a similar great view from the twin bedded bedroom (there was a choice of single or double bedded appartments). Kitchen was perfectly placed to enable chat whilst preparing a meal. Great 40" LCD "smart" TV and free "Wi-Fi" in the apartments. Adequate storage (just could have done with some hooks on back of bedroom and bathroom door to hang one's dressing gowns! (this is nit picking on my behalf!). We could not fault the place really. Beds and bedding were spotlessly clean - and very comfortable. Windows were again crystal clear and opened and closed easily. Everything worked perfectly! We found coming in and going out for the day very easy. There were two other apartments adjacent to ours, and although the place was well occupied we never heard any loud noises (or flushing toilets in the night) from any of the apartments the whole time we were there. The whole week we stayed was very, very relaxing and Oban and its people were all very friendly and extremely helpful when we were out and about. Oban town centre was within a five minute walk from the apartments. It was busy the week we were there, but there is pleanty of good parking available in and around the town centre. The harbour is a working and leisure harbour and there were many boats of different shapes and sizes coming and going every day. (it remained nice and quiet inside the appartment so we were never disturbed by noise). Quiet at night too). All in all a very relaxing and entertaining week. We both would easily recommend The Esplanade Apartments as an excellent place to stay. Ian and his wife Mora are lovely people. Very welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was rushed. I would just like to add that we were not given any inducements or special offers to write this review. We extended our stay by two days because we found Oban to be a great location for what we wanted to do in the area.The apartment was really comfortable, clean with fantastic views over the bay. Ian & Mora were great hosts, very welcoming, helpful & obliging.We are already discussing when we are coming back.

We enjoyed a week here in April and it was so good that we just had to book again.The second week was in May and was , as before, most excellent in every way.Please see our last review for more detail.Ian and Mora were most charming and their input added greatly to our enjoyment.The huge windows in the apartment provide a never ending panorama of activity, and Oban is a splendid centre for exploration by car and ship.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were given a warm welcome by Ian and Moira. The apartment was clean and the beds very comfy. The view from both the lounge and bedroom was spectacular. As you leave Oban, the sign reads "Haste ye Back"Which we look forward to doing.

Located great for views of Oban Bay and very central for walking around Oban.Apartments provides everything you need for your stay including sheets and towels and a very well equipped kitchen.We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment (404) and the tooms are all very spacious. Mattress could have been a bit more comfortable as did give us both sore backs. Maybe our age 😄But would definitely recommend staying, in fact, we have booked for another week in August!

We spent a very pleasant Friday to Monday stay here in May 2023. The flat was well equipped, and the view from the windows excellent. It was an easy walk from both the station and ferry terminal. There are a number of good food outlets locally which provide alternatives to the cafes. Ian and Mora, the on-site managers were really friendly and helpful and deserve a specific mention. We will stay here again if wecome this way.

This is now the 5th time been to esplanade Court and it keeps gets better. We were in 1 bedroom on 1st floor which is fully equipped. It gives you a stunning view of Oban Bay. Ian and Iona who manage the apartments where friendly and so helpful.Will be back for a 6th time very soon.

Great location with fantastic views. Lovely fresh, clean apartment with a comfortable bed with nice linen. Everything looked new and we had all we needed for our stay. We didn’t use the cooking facilities but it looked like everything was there that you would need. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and fully recommend it.

Spent another three days at the apartments due to the Highlands & Islands Festival and had a wonderful time. Smooth check in despite arriving early than expected and was warmly welcomed by a lovely host. The apartment was pristine and everything we could need was provided. Looking forward to next year.

My daughter and I had an amazing weekend, in Room 200 a room we have been in a few times. The Apartment is large, and spacious and the view is incredible. We had a problem with the shower spurting water from hose, telephoned Tony who was up within 5 minutes with new washer, discovered after this head leaking so replaced it with new shower head. Nothing any bother. Can't wait till next year. Thank youx

The new hosts Ian and Mora were very helpful, kind and friendly so that was a good start!Apartment was clean on arrivalso no gripes there. However, if I had to grip about one thing it would be the bed in the master suite; the mattress definitely needs replacing or, at the very least, turning. I had to sleep 'head to tail' to get some support which is not ideal!Other than that, it was a great week away!

Friends of ours recommended Esplanade Court and we're very pleased we took their advice.Our apartment was comfortable and spotlessly clean - and what a view!There is a great deal to do and see around Oban, but honestly I'd have been happy just spending the week watching the boats coming and going.Ian and Mora are the ideal hosts.Welcoming, friendly, invariably cheerful and always happy to help.We could not have asked for more and I have no doubt that we will be returning, maybe in the autumn.

My first visit to Oban and Esplanade Court Apartments is the best place I could have chosen to stay. Comfortable and well-equipped apartment, comfy bed, beautifully clean and breath-taking sea views; and the managers Mora & Ian were so welcoming & helpful. It is also wonderfully central, close to transport links (I came by train, an easy walk from the station), shops & restaurants, and the ferry terminal - I had some wonderful day trips out to the islands of Mull, Iona, & Staffa. I'm already planning my next visit.

Me and my wife have stayed at Esplanade Court for over thirty years, coming at least twice and often three times a year. We love the place, it is so handy for everything, you can park your car when you arrive and forget it for the rest of the time you are there. The apartments are always very clean and well equipped and the staff are so friendly. Thank you once again to Ian and Mora for making our stay once again so special.

We go to Oban a few times a year and often stay at the Esplanade Court Holiday Apartments because of its excellent central location on the sea front, stunning views from the living room, good parking facilities and nice accommodation. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

Our apartment, ‘Lismore’, at the Esplanade Court proved an excellent centre for exploring the islands near Oban via CalMac ferries. The view of the harbour itself from both the living room and the bedroom is spectacular. We visited Kerrera, Lismore, Coll, Mull and Colonsay, taking bicycles with us and appreciated the secure overnight stand for two (or three) bikes newly installed at the Court. The centre of Oban with its shops, cafes and restaurants is no distance at all but being able to reach the ferry terminal by bike was helpful. Parking space for our car in the forecourt for the entire week was also beneficial. The apartment itself was clean, fresh and welcoming, the bed was comfortable and the water always hot (perhaps excessively so). Equipment in the kitchen was more than adequate – there were a lot of casseroles, pots and pans, tools etc that we never needed. The weight of the cutlery (a mixture of sets) is not perhaps of the same quality as the overall decorative style and the springing of single bucket seat is tired, though the sofa and dining chairs are comfortable. Two notes of caution: although there are a good number of power points there is no charging socket for electric shavers; and wifi reception – marked as ‘Not Secure’ by our kit – could be erratic, though when connected served for emails and web browsing. Booking systems and pre-arrival information were automated: efficient if a touch impersonal. On site, managers Ian and Mora were welcoming and helpful throughout and their presence certainly went to make our week at the Court a very fine holiday. We hope to be able to book again another year.

We had a very enjoyable time. The apartment was spotless, really comfortable accommodation. Home from home.A very central position, near the shops and beautiful views over Oban bay. We had lovely sunny weather and the sunsets were marvellous. Car parking at the apartments was a bonus. Ian and Mora were the perfect hosts, who greeted us when we arrived. We hope to return soon.

There was 4 of us and honestly if we could leave a 20 out of 10 for Ian and Mora we would.. We were warmly welcomed helped with our luggage , same as 5 star hotel. Also one of our group an insulin dependant and Ian kindly allowed us to check in early. Certainlythey are a major asset to Esplanade Court..The apparent was spotless , well equipped kitchen and all rooms comfy and amazing views. We will most definitely return. Truly excellent in every way.This was a beautifully appointed apartment with an incredible view.Every need was provided for.The welcome from Ian and Mora was very warm and really genuine ~ they could not have been more helpful.We cannot speak too highly of the whole enterprise and we have already booked a further week next month!

The Esplanade Appts were great- the view over the Little Bay is fantastic- you can see the ferries and boats coming all day. The location is excellent- very central. The appts had their own parking space which is ideal in Oban. They were lovely and clean. Highly recommended!

We’re just back from a long weekend in Oban and could not fault the accommodation. Communication, welcome, chat and recommendations from Ian and Mora was great, the apartment was spacious, newly decorated, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfy, the dog was made welcome, the views across the water from the living room and kitchen were stunning and the location was ideal for exploring Oban. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or to stay here again.

We stayed at Esplanade Court for 3 nights, travelling as a family of 4. The apartments are well situated and are just a short 5 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants in Oban. We particularly liked the amazing view over the bay, eating our fish and chips as we watched the sun set was magical.A special mention to Mora and Ian who were so helpful during our stay and couldn’t have been more hospitable and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in a 3 bed apartment for October half term and could not fault the accommodation. The apartment was clean and well equipped and the views to the front were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful.Very highly recommended.

What a great week. As usual the one bedroom apartment was warm and cosy and very dog friendly.The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make food prep a doddle.The walk in shower was great for guests with mobility issues and towels were plentiful. The lift was great with easy access to all floors but stairs were easy if you needed the exercise. Thank you to Mark and family for being there for all our needs.looking forward to our next stay. We first started holidaying here over 30 years ago when our children were small.Now we use Esplanade Court for our grandchildren. Fantastic location. Magnificent views. Comfortable, high quality accommodation. And we’re booked again for 2023.

We had a truly lovely week here and would thoroughly recommend to families. A great base and an easy stroll into the town centre.

Had a lovely few days away in Oban staying in Esplanade apartments. Fantastic location, great staff and comfortable apartments which were central to all bars, restaurants and local attractions, view was amazing. Really enjoyed our stay and will be backAll boxes on accommodation were ticked however One small downfall, no hairdryer and will need to bring our own next time

This was our second stay in No.405, the first was in August 2021 last year. Fabulous views across Oban harbour and beyond.Complained about old microwave - which was immediately replaced. Full marks for listening! Hope now the very old fridge - where ice cream melts in the tiny freezer - will also be replaced (with a left hand hinged door).Mattresses not a good sleep either - good ones are not that dear.Otherwise thoroughly recommend. We will be back.

This was our ninth year of visiting the apartments.Every year, they seem to get better and over the years have been fully updated and are now very comfortable with the best views in town.Very clean, lovely comfortable beds and bedding, bathrooms lovely. kitchen clean and adequate.Close to excellent fish restaurants and just ideal for staying local and not taking the car anywhere, or for local touring of the lochs.We just love it and will be back again next year.
